H.R. 218 (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act) is a federal law that allows qualified, current, and retired law enforcement officers to carry concealed firearms nationwide, notwithstanding most state and local laws by completing an annual firearms proficiency course of fire (shooting test) that meets or exceeds the minimum standards, per Commission Rule §218.9 (c)(1) and submitting the UIF 03.002 form.
